Jory’s Bio:
Jory Micah is a young woman who desires to encourage teenage girls and young women to protect their emotions and bodies from what the Bible calls “sexual impurity.” Jory openly admits that she got caught up in the emotional and sexual “rollercoaster ride” of serious dating as a Christian teenager, and hopes to spare others from hopping on the “Oh, so tempting” ride, while offering genuine and practical advice on getting off an “up-and-down” ride that has already begun. Jory grew up in Western, PA where she was involved in youth leadership at a young age, evangelic outreach to the poor and homeless, and overseas mission trips. At age 18, she attended Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, TX, earning her AA in Practical Theology. At CFNI, Jory worked with teenage girls in juvenile prison and dedicated herself to street evangelism in the heart of Dallas. After graduating, Jory completed her BA in Church Ministries at Southwestern AG University, just 25 minutes south of Dallas. There, she continued to do ministry and outreach to the homosexual community of Dallas, TX. After graduating in 2006, Jory made her way to Denver, CO, where she taught 7th and 8th grade at a Christian school. It was there that she organized and led her first spiritual retreat for teens. In 2007, Jory moved to Virginia Beach, VA to pursuit her MA in Christian Doctrine and History and took her first youth-pastoring position. It was with this youth group that Jory organized and led her first “sexual purity retreat” for teenage girls. In 2008, Jory married and is currently residing in Virginia Beach, finishing her master’s thesis on “Women in Ministry in the First and Second Century.” Jory’s greatest desire in life is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world and continue to minister to teenage girls and young women; giving them confidence and motivation to fight for purity!
